Frequently asked questions
- How do I play?
- Drag one of the three blocks from the tray onto the board. Whenever a whole row or column is filled it clears, and rows and columns can clear together for a bigger score. When all three blocks are placed you get three new ones. The game ends when none of your blocks fit anywhere.
- Why can't I rotate the blocks?
- Blocks never turn in Outback Blocks. Every set of three is checked by the game so there is always a way to place all three - you lose only if the way you placed them boxes you in.
- What is a combo?
- Clear lines on back-to-back moves and your score multiplier grows. A streak survives a couple of moves without a clear, so you have a little room to set up the next one.
- Is there a timer?
- No. Take as long as you like.
- I'm stuck - what can I do?
- Undo, Fresh blocks and Bomb help you out and cost coins you earn by playing - or you can watch a short optional ad to get them free instead. If you run out of room you can also be offered a second chance.
- How do I earn coins?
- You earn coins at the end of every game based on your score, with a bonus for a new best.
- Do I need the internet to play?
- No. Outback Blocks plays fully offline. You only need a connection for optional ads.
- Will I lose my game if I close the app?
- No. Your game is saved after every move, so it is exactly as you left it when you come back. Uninstalling the app deletes your progress.
- Are there ads?
- There is a small banner along the bottom of the screen and optional video ads you can choose to watch for free help. There are no pop-up ads that interrupt your game.
- How do I report a bug or ask about my data?
- Outback Blocks sends no progress or personal information to us other than an anonymous activity signal while the game is open - see our Privacy Policy for details. For bugs or any other questions, email us at [email protected].
