Frequently asked questions

Will I lose my run if I close the app?
No. Your board, level, score, hearts, and darts are all saved automatically — hit Continue and you're back exactly where you left off.
How does matching work?
Tap a group of 2 or more touching tiles of the same colour to select it, then tap again to clear it. Cleared tiles fall and empty columns slide over to fill the gap. Bigger groups score more — and earn better praise, from NICE! all the way up to LEGENDARY!
What are hearts and moves?
Each level gives you a set number of moves to hit that level's target score. Run out of moves before reaching the target and you lose a heart. Lose all 3 hearts and it's game over — though your best score and best level reached are always saved.
What do Darts do?
Darts are a power-up that pop any single tile for free — no match needed, and it doesn't cost a move. You earn one automatically every 1500 points, or grab an extra one for free by watching a short ad. If the board ever runs dry of matches while you're holding a dart, you'll be prompted to use it instead of losing the level outright.
Does the game get harder as I go?
Yes — across the 100 levels, boards get looser and targets climb higher, so early levels are forgiving and later ones ask for tighter play.
Can I change how the game looks?
Yes — tap the ⚙ THEME button to switch between Candy, Frosted Berry, and Midnight Reef colour themes any time, even mid-game.
How does the leaderboard work?
Your best score and best level reached are tracked and shown whenever you tap the SCORE title in the HUD. Online leaderboards are coming in a future update.
How do I report a bug or ask about my data?
Your progress, score and level are stored only on your device. Tile Match sends us an anonymous activity signal while the game is open, and if you send a bug report or suggestion from Settings, the message you write with an anonymous install ID, the app version and your platform - see our Privacy Policy for details. To report a bug, ask about your data or request that it be deleted, or for any other question, email us at [email protected].
