Frequently asked questions
- How do I play?
- Fill the 9x9 grid so every row, column and 3x3 box contains the numbers 1 to 9 once. Tap a square, then tap a number.
- Does every puzzle have one answer?
- Yes. Every puzzle is checked so it has exactly one solution and can be solved by logic - no guessing.
- What are notes?
- Switch Notes on to jot small pencil-mark candidates in a square. The game can tidy them up for you as you place numbers.
- Can I undo?
- Yes - Undo is free and unlimited.
- Are mistakes shown straight away?
- You choose in Settings: show mistakes as you go, or keep it relaxed and only check when the grid is full.
- I'm stuck - what can I do?
- The hint explains itself in plain English: it shows where to look, names the technique, then places the number if you want it. Hints cost coins you earn by playing - or you can watch a short optional ad instead.
- Is there a timer?
- You can show or hide it in Settings. There is never any time pressure.
- What is the Daily Challenge?
- One puzzle per day, the same for everyone, with a calendar and a streak.
- Can I make the numbers bigger?
- Yes. Settings has number size, a high-contrast look and more.
- Do I need the internet to play?
- No. True Blue Sudoku plays fully offline. You only need a connection for optional ads.
- Will I lose my puzzle if I close the app?
- No. It is saved as you play. Uninstalling the app deletes your progress.
- Are there ads?
- There is a small banner along the bottom of the screen and optional video ads you can choose to watch for a free hint. There are no pop-up ads that interrupt your game.
- How do I report a bug or ask about my data?
- True Blue Sudoku sends no progress or personal information to us other than an anonymous activity signal while the game is open - see our Privacy Policy for details. For bugs or any other questions, email us at [email protected].
